Mitra maintains clinical social work professional licensure in the Commonwealth
of Virginia (LCSW) and the District of Columbia (LICSW). Throughout
her career, she has worked with children experiencing attachment and trauma related difficulties as well as with families
within a home-based setting. She conducts therapeutic family sessions, youth therapeutic groups, as well as performs
medical social work assessments and facilitates parent psycho-education groups. Her current caseload includes youth
and teenagers who are experiencing disrupted adoptive placements, children in the foster care system, as well as adoptive/biological
families with children dealing with attachment and trauma difficulties.
Mitra completed her graduate clinical internship at Autumnleaf Group, Inc.™.
Prior to joining our team in 2010, she worked as a community-based counselor serving children and families at-risk of
out-of-home placement.
